Community Arts Program
Celebrating it's 40th Anniversary, the Community Arts Program (CAP) is an oasis of creativity in the heart of San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. The program serves more than 2,000 homeless, formerly homeless, poor, and at-risk adults each year by providing free-of-charge space, materials, instruction, and assistance with sales and exhibitions. The Art Auction generates significant funding that sustains the CAP, ensuring that Tenderloin residents continue to have vital access to opportunities for creative expression and exploration. The Community Arts Program is supported by The San Francisco Foundation, George H. Sandy Foundation, San Francisco Arts Commission, San Francisco Department of Public Health, the Annual Art Auction, the Greeting Card Enterprise Project, and contributions from individuals and organization throughout the Bay Area.
