Many rivers I’ve crossed to |
the sea, |
Dainty coves gave comfort |
to my liberty, |
and though I climbed mountains |
and valleys searching for peace, |
only the oarsman |
delivered me, |
they can have the stuff of |
so called dreams, |
the pawns and pesos |
of worldly things |
let whomever will fly to |
the next constellation, |
providence also found me, |
but only in promised arms |
would grace anoint me, |
came your perfumed voice |
sweetly echoing, |
by starlight to your harbor |
I’ve arrived, |
oh yes, this captain claims |
his prize, |
so let not a minute age |
on those arms you race to |
hold me for which I came. |
