2021-2022 Annual Report
All of us at Hospitality House are excited to present our 2021-2022 Annual Report. The theme is
“Rediscovering the Power of Community”.
This past year has been marked by challenges and celebrations, as well as singular achievements and
unfinished goals. As we hopefully emerge from the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re reminded
of the many ways we need each other, more than ever. The struggles and burdens often seem more
difficult than ever. Simple human kindness has taken on a whole new meaning for each of us.
Through it all, you’ve supported us, encouraged us, and motivated us. We’re grateful for all you do to
help Hospitality House rebuild lives, celebrate creativity, and strengthen community.
We hope you’ll find this year’s Annual Report inspiring and thought-provoking. The unforgettable story
of our experience at the Shelter in Place Hotel – the people, the memories, the triumphs and the tears –
is indelibly linked to the continuing story of Hospitality House.
We hope also that this year’s report illuminates part of what attracted you to Hospitality House in the
first place – the people, the memories, the triumphs and the tears. Unhoused people finding a place to
call home. Job seekers finding a reason to be hopeful. Community artists realizing their innate gifts.
Formerly incarcerated folks being welcomed back home.
Humanity uplifted through connection. Resilience strengthened by struggle.
Trauma turned into triumph, together. Above all, the promise of possibilities.
